from what i have heard, yes, you are able to change your secondary profesion after you've reached lvl 20. aparently, its a quest that'll allow you to do so. how it works? i dont know, wheres the quest from? not a clue. so sorry i cant fully answer your question.

Once you reach the Amnoon Oasis in the crystal desert there are "path" quests for each profession. (The Mesmer's Path, The Warrior's Path, ......). You can get the quests from the towns in the crystal desert and most if not all of them recquire you to just go outside one of the towns and kill a group of creatures or a boss. Once completed you get your reward (just exp I think). After youve completed a path quest you can talk to that NPC again and it will give you the option to switch your secondary profession to that other specific profession. (Switching takes away your old secondary profession's attributes and skills untill you return to that profession later. you can only switch professions once every 24 hours)

Say you switched from W/Mo to W/E, then again to W/R. Would you be able to re-do the quest and change to W/E again? Or is it 1 time chance for each job quest?

thanks for the answer Shadowless.
If I understand, the skills from your "real" secondary profession will kind of stay in the background? You don't get new skill points and attr points? So start off with 0,0,0,0 attributes and have to re-earn the points?

I'd like a little more info about this. I think I know how skills work with regard to changing secondaries -- you keep the skills you have, waiting until you change back, but have to go back and gain any skills you want from the new secondary. But what about attributes? If I go back and forth occasionally between two secondaries, will I need to go through tons of refund points to stay viable?

Question: Can you change back to secondaries you've already been? For example: Mo/Ele- Mo/R- Mo/W Then back to Mo/R?

1) You can change back to a secondary you've switched away from.
2) When you switch professions, the attribute points you've allocated to your secondary are refunded for free. The secondary skills "hang around" once you've earned them.

Are you sure about the 24 hours thing? I remember being able to switch between the secondaries within a couple minutes.

What happens to your skill points?
Do you get your skill points from your secondary profession refunded, or are you stuck with however many you had when you made the switch? Because, you know, it would kind of suck to switch and discover you only had 10 skill points. Kind of limits potential cross-class exploration.
And additionally since you've already done most of the skill-related quests in the game, you'll definitely have to use those skill points for buying all the skills you would've got along the way.

You can switch your secondary any time you want. Once you've completed that secondaries quest, it is available to you at any time.
I often switch my secondary over and over to make people wonder "wtf?"
Not many know of these quest i guess.
As an addict of collecting elites, I'm always out of skill points. Thank God for Underworld and Fissure quest....
think my exp is close to 500k now or something...getting hard to gain lvl20 over and over.
